Thirteen British colonies of the East Coast constituted America and the great American Revolutionary War lasting between 1775 and 1783 led to American independence. The United States boarded vigorous expansion across North America and acquired new territories in the 19th century.
Federal republic & a representative democratic country US is a founding member of the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and other international organizations. The USA is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
The United States is the largest economy of the world and it is the second-largest by purchasing power. The United States is also the largest importer and the second-largest exporter of goods.
The United States is known for its great variety. Its physical environment also contains all types of areas from the Arctic to the subtropical, from moist rainforest to the arid desert, from the rugged mountain peak to the flat prairie. Its overall population density is relatively low. Some areas of the country have the world’s largest urban concentrations whereas some areas are almost devoid of habitation.
The United States’ highly diverse population has come from an immense and sustained global immigration that is why it has a wider range of racial, ethnic, and cultural types.

The United States is just a 250 years old country which achieved its current size in the mid-20th century. After the freedom of it in its first century and a half, it was mainly preoccupied with its own territorial expansion and economic growth and also big social debates which led to civil war. Although it could heal itself fully from the wounds of civil war but still now it is not free from the problems like racism etc. and the new challenges at present are Corona, terrorism, protests, economic crises and political unrest.
